Miss Thailand World 2012 is Thai-German Vanessa Muangkod
The final round of Miss Thailand World 2012 organised by Channel 3 and BEC-Tero Entertainment at the Bangkok Convention Centre, Centara Grand at CentralWorld took place on Saturday 24 March.
The pageant got off to a grand start with the Miss Thailand World contestants from previous years appearing on stage. The 30 Miss Thailand World 2012 finalists then made their appearance in Guy Laroche swimsuits before hosts Nawat Issarakraisri and Surivipa Kultangwattana welcomed the guests and introduced the prizes and the judges. The 30 contestants then returned in short evening dresses from De Butante and introduced themselves before a viewing of the “For the Education of Thai Children” VTR of the 30 girls and a speech from Miss Thailand World 2011, Patcharida “Julie” Rodkongka.
The pageant got off to a grand start with the Miss Thailand World contestants from previous years appearing on stage. The 30 contestants then returned in short evening dresses from De Butante and introduced themselves before a viewing of the “For the Education of Thai Children” VTR of the 30 girls and a speech from Miss Thailand World 2011, Patcharida “Julie” Rodkongka.
The contestants then returned to the catwalk in swimsuits before changing into glamorous evening gowns by De Butante. The hosts then announced the 6 special awards:
1. The Beautiful Skin Award by Scotch Collagen Q10 went to contestant No.28 Kannika “Kae” Khunkeaw receiving Bt100,000 cash, a sash and one-year’s supply of Scotch Collagen Q10 drinks.
2. Miss Perfect Beauty sponsored by Wuttisak went to contestant No.10 Paksupat “Aom” Petchwiwat, who received Bt100,000 cash, a sash, and an Exclusive VIP Card from Wuttisak Clinic valued at Bt100,000.
3. Miss B-ing Bebe by Singha Corporation went to contestant No.15 Boonyisa “Poppy” Chantrarachai, who received a Bt100,000 cash prize and a sash.
4. The Photogenic Award sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance went to contestant No.2 Artittiya “Oulie” Vonzurmuehlen who received a sash, Bt100,000 in cash and a personal accident insurance policy with full coverage valued at Bt1.5 million.
5. Best Body Award by SparSha Slimming Center went to contestant No.14 Vanessa “Nachat” Muangkod who received Bt50,000 cash and a sash.
6. The Miss Congeniality Award by AJ went to contestant No.20 Patchamon “Mimi” Chan-utsa who received Bt50,000 in cash, a sash, and a DVD player.

6. The Miss Congeniality Award by AJ went to contestant No.20 Patchamon “Mimi” Chan-utsa who received Bt50,000 in cash, a sash, and a DVD player.
The hosts then discussed the Fast track Award competition, a special award that automatically allowed 10 finalists to qualify for the next round. Miss Beauty with a Purpose went to No.14 Vanessa “Nachat” Muangkod, Miss Top Talent went to No.4 Chewanluck Unger Moksiri, while Miss Top Model went to No.14 Vanessa “Nachat” Muangkod.
The seven remaining qualifiers for the top 10 finalists were then filled after each was asked a question with only 20 seconds to answer. During the break, renowned singer Mai Charoenpura came out to sing “Satta” (ศรัทธา) before the host announced the final five finalists, who then each had to answer a random question.
Finally, the moment that everyone had been waiting for arrived. The host announced the judges’ results and contestant No.14 Thai-German Vanessa “Nachat” Muangkod, was crowned Miss Thailand World 2012 receiving prizes worth a total of Bt6.15 million including Bt1 million in cash, a diamond tiara valued at Bt1.2 million sponsored by OG Colors of Life, a Toyota Prius Top Grade sedan worth Bt1.28 million, a townhouse inclusive of land in K.C. Cluster Ramindra sponsored by K.C. Property valued at Bt1.7 million, an Exclusive VIP Card from Wuttisak Clinic worth Bt200,000, a Bt200,000 voucher for treatments at SparSha Slimming Center, jewellery worth Bt150,000 from OG Colors of Life, a personal accident insurance policy with full coverage of Bt5million sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance, a home-theatre system from AJ, a two-night stay at Cape Suites of Cape Panwa Phuket along with complimentary dinner at Panwa House, and Panwa Princess Yacht charter service to Hey Island worth Bt100,000, a trip to the Maldives worth Bt89,100, and one-year’s supply of Scotch Collagen Q10 drinks.
First runner-up was contestant No.15 Boonyisa “Poppy” Chantrarachai who received Bt300,000 in cash, an Exclusive VIP Card from Wuttisak Clinic worth Bt100,000, a Bt100,000 voucher for treatments at SparSha Slimming Center, jewellery from OG Colors of Life worth Bt70,000, a personal accident insurance policy with full coverage valued at Bt3 million sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance, a DVD player from AJ, a two-night stay at Kantary Beach Hotel and Suites, Khao Lak along with complimentary dinner at the Similan worth Bt50,000 and one-year’s supply of Scotch Collagen Q10 drinks.
Second runner-up was contestant No.4 Chewanluck Unger Moksiri who received Bt200,000 in cash, an Exclusive VIP Card from Wuttisak Clinic valued at Bt100,000, a Bt100,000 voucher for treatments at SparSha Slimming Center, jewellery from OG Colors of Life worth Bt70,000, a personal accident insurance policy with full coverage to the value of Bt3 million sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance, a DVD player from AJ, a two-night stay at Kantary Beach Hotel and Suites, Khao Lak along with complimentary dinner at the Similan worth Bt50,000 and one-year’s supply of Scotch Collagen Q10 drinks.
